Hard-bearing balancing machine for heavy-weight rotors up to 3000 kg

Maximal weight, kg
Maximal diameter, mm
Maximum length, mm

The machine model 9D718 is a universal balancing equipment of pre-resonance type, which allows to balance parts weighing from 30 to 3000 kg. The machine has a horizontal axis of rotation that allows to work with any types of rotors, therefore the equipment is widespread among representatives of repair shops and enterprises producing parts with serial, small-batch and single-unit production.
The 9D718 can be used to balance such parts:
The 9D718 has a reinforced design and a high power electric drive system to handle heavy workpieces. Structurally the machine is the same as any other machine of the 9D series, but to increase the efficiency of the machine it is often available with additional modules such as “jacks for shock-free installation of parts” or with an “unbalance correction module”. The electric drive of the machine depends on the customer’s needs. When placing an order you can choose between “axial” or “belt” drive, which will transmit the torque from the motor to the workpiece. By special order, the machine can be equipped with both “axial” and “belt” drive, which increases the versatility and reliability of the machine.
The machine has a lot of know-how that allows efficient and fast changeovers, as well as sophisticated software that improves both comfort and quality of work of the machine operator. Depending on the customer’s production requirements, the balancing machine can be equipped with one of two balancing systems: PB-02M (balancing system based on the modern microprocessor technology) or PAK-1 (hardware-software complex working on the industrial computer with a touch screen).
The PAK-1 unbalance measuring unit represents the latest generation of measuring complexes for dynamic balancing, combining high precision, stability, and ease of use. It’s designed to tackle a wide range of rotor balancing tasks, from simple to the most complex, requiring precise measurements.

Based on an industrial fanless computer with a touchscreen and a multi-channel measuring unit, the system ensures reliability and a long service life, even under intensive use. The PAK-1 utilizes a universal measuring path and modern component base, allowing for equally high accuracy when working with all types of rotors.
Its intuitive interface, self-calibration capability, and automation of key operations make the complex a convenient tool for both experienced specialists and beginners.

Your questions — our technical solutions
The 9D718 is a heavy industrial machine designed to service the most critical assemblies in sectors such as:
Heavy Engineering: Large electric motor rotors, rolling mill shafts, high-speed gears.
Energy: Steam turbine rotors, gas turbine units, and high-power generators.
Mining and Processing: Crusher impellers, eccentric shafts, conveyor system drums.
Ventilation and Gas Cleaning: Massive smoke exhauster impellers and industrial exhaust fans with a diameter of up to 2000 mm.
Transport: Marine diesel crankshafts and mining vehicle axles.
Yes, the machine is specifically designed for parts weighing up to 3000 kg (3 tons). The hard-bearing system features increased rigidity of the support pedestals, allowing for the safe balancing of rotors with high initial unbalance. The sensor system maintains linearity and high accuracy across the entire weight range (from 30 to 3000 kg).
The standard distance between rotor bearing journals is limited to 3000 mm. However, considering the specifics of heavy machinery, the 9D718 features a bed extension option. We manufacture the bed to the required length for your tasks, allowing for the balancing of extra-long shafts while maintaining ideal structural rigidity and measurement accuracy along the entire length of the machine.
Despite working with multi-ton parts, the 9D718 ensures precision accuracy with a specific residual unbalance as low as 0.4 g·mm/kg. This guarantees compliance with accuracy classes G1 and G2.5 according to ISO 21940. Such precision significantly extends the service life of bearing assemblies and reduces unit vibration during subsequent operation.
Yes, the machine is set up for a new product type by the operator using trial runs with calibration weights.
This approach offers several key advantages for B2B production:
Maximum Sensitivity: Calibration allows adapting the measuring system to the specific geometry and mass of the rotor, minimizing error.
Accuracy Control: The operator can verify and confirm measurement accuracy at any time, eliminating the accumulation of errors during long-term operation.
Flexibility: The machine maintains reference-level accuracy even with non-standard or complex parts, as the system is tuned to the actual response of the specific rotor.
