Universal tool for turbine diagnostics with electronic control. Tester model ATP-1000

The ATP-1000 tester is an instrument for diagnostics of electronic actuators controlling regulated turbines with electric drive. It checks operability of the electric actuator as a whole and its separate elements, such as electric actuator and servomotor. The individual diagnostics of each element allows to determine precisely the condition of the turbocharger drive and detect problems, if they exist.

The device is based on microprocessor technology. Sealed housing made of impact-resistant plastic for operation in any environment. Two elements control: a button and a regulator. Liquid crystal screen is used to display information. Powered by standard laptop power supply. Connection to electric actuators with cables and adapters included in the delivery set.

Functions and features of the tester:

  • Testing of electronic turbocharger drives.
  • Diagnosis of DC motors from 12 V to 2 A.
  • Verification of supercharger solenoids used in pneumatic systems.
  • Electronic and pneumatic actuator position sensors check.
  • Programming (adaptation) of SIEMENS electronic actuators.
The tester is designed for workshops repairing controlled turbochargers, but will also find application in companies supplying electronic actuators. The ATP-1000 is easy to use and allows a quick check of the condition of the actuator and its components. This makes it an effective tool for quality control of supplied actuators.

Extra functions of the tester:
  • Device current protection: of 2A for 3 sec.
  • Automatic detection of DC motor polarity inside the actuator.
  • Tooltip for color-coding the cable to the selected actuator type.
  • Display of the position sensor readings as a percentage.
  • Regular updating of the tester firmware.
  • Testing the position sensors of electronic and pneumatic actuators according to the protocol: PWM, ADC, SENT
  • Display of additional parameters of programmable HELLA REA actuators:
    • Firmware number.
    • Programmed angle value.
  • USB control of actuators for operating in connection with software of flowbenches: GEOMET-2000, GEOMET-500.

The ATP-1000 is a multifunctional diagnostic tool that includes:

The device is designed to work with most modern 12V systems:

  • Manufacturers: Hella, Mitsubishi, Siemens/VDO, Sonceboz, Denso, Mahle, Hitachi, and others.
  • Protocols: PWM, CAN, ADC, and SENT. SENT support is critical for diagnosing the latest digital sensors installed on the latest generation of turbochargers.

The tester allows for a detailed assessment of component condition without disassembling the actuator:

  • DC Motor: Tests motors up to 2A with overload protection. The device measures current consumption and detects mechanical interference or winding faults.
  • Position Sensors: Testing of sensors via PWM, SENT, or ADC protocols. Results are displayed as a percentage (0–100%), allowing you to assess the smoothness of operation and the absence of signal “drops” in the Hall sensor or potentiometer.

The standard package includes everything you need to get started quickly:

  • 12 cables for actuator diagnostics (common connector types).
  • 6 cables for testing position sensors.
  • USB cable for connecting to a computer.
  • Optional: Kits for rare turbine types are available upon request (9 additional cables)
