Fan balancing

For balancing fans and impellers, we recommend using 9D series balancing machines, which are capable of effectively balancing industrial equipment parts in any industry.

This series of machines can be used to balance such parts

Fans of any type and application can be balanced:
  • Axial fan balancing
  • Centrifugal fan balancing
  • Radial fan balancing
  • Exhaust fan
  • Air blower
  • Fan impeller
  • Gas blower

Challenges that often arise when balancing fans

Fan balancing machines offer several unique technical solutions that enable quick setup and balancing without compromising the accuracy of imbalance detection.

Specific Feature
Fans often have high aerodynamics

The aerodynamics of the rotor negatively affect the process of determining imbalance and complicate the adjustment of the machine to the rotor.
The axial drive helps to overcome aerodynamic drag and reduces balancing cycles and acceleration and deceleration times.

Specific Feature
Large initial fan imbalance

The rigid supports of the machine allow it to work with large initial imbalances caused by defects such as radial and axial runout, as well as skew and displacement of the rotor relative to the axis.

Specific Feature
Disc-shaped parts often have both “static” and “moment” unbalance

The Static-Moment Balance function solves this problem by determining the magnitude and position of the “moment” and “static” unbalance. This feature is unique and available only on our machines.

Other options required for balancing fans and impellers
  • Balancing cantilever rotors
  • Unbalance decomposition into fixed points (blades, vanes, slots)
  • The design of the machine supports allows for safe balancing of rotors in their own bearings
  • A protective cover for balancing fans increases work safety
  • Balancing mandrels for fans that do not have their own support necks
